Read more  I moved from a 24/7 party on 155th and Amsterdam, in Manhattan to a closed after midnight kind of party in the Bronx. I lived on 229th and Paulding Ave for 2 years, and I must admit it took a lot of getting used to. The surrounding area is quiet, yet not too far away, you can still hear the hustle and bustle of the Edenwald Projects.

The neighborhood is lined with trees, and the traffic is moderate so it would be easy to take a walk or jog down the street. There are not a lot of stores in the area, mostly supermarkets, and Laundromats, but down White Plains Road there are a couple more places to choose from. My neighborhood was mostly Caribbean/ Jamaican people, so that means…yes, you guessed it, lots of Jamaican restaurants to choose from. Overall it’s a great neighborhood for families, and a good place to live if you need a little peace and quiet.  Less
